Hi Valued Tree Planters,
The last tree planting went very quick with all the trees planted with 50 volunteers by 3.45 pm….Wow!
A big thank you to the early helpers and to our dedicated group of now very experienced tree planters. It all comes together because of great organisation and great site preparation so a big shout out to the Rossi’s and Russell 😎
Let’s do it again on June 6th and finish off our National Landcare Program Environmental Small Grant project…. before we start our 4500 Greening Australia/Accor tree plantings in July. Phew.
Bring sun smart gear, covered shoes, gloves water and a named shovel if you have on
Drive south through Fishery Falls and past McDonnell Creek School. When you go over McDonnell Creek slow down and indicate left. Turn left just after the 80-road work sign and STOP at the main rail line before proceeding. Park on the grassy area between the two rail lines. THEN with care walk back over the main rail line across the main highway to the tree planting site.
See you there!
This project is supported by Mulgrave Landcare, Australian Government and the Cairns Regional Council.
